In Loving Memory Of Davy Flynn: Broomhedge Maghaberry Football Club Mourns Chairman
Lower Maze Football Club are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Davy Flynn, the esteemed Chairman of Broomhedge Maghaberry FC.
Stalwarts like Davy are what local amateur football is built on. His unwavering dedication formed the bedrock of his club, and his loss will be profoundly felt right across our football family.
We send our sincere condolences, thoughts, and prayers to Davy’s loving wife Jean, his devoted daughters Andrea, Laura, and Holly, and his entire family circle. Our sympathies also extend to all players, coaches, past and present, who had the privilege of knowing him at Broomhedge Maghaberry FC.
Davy, of Derryvolgie Park, Lambeg, passed suddenly on 2nd February 2026. A much-loved Papa, brother, and friend, his legacy extends far beyond the touchline.
A Funeral Service will be held in Drumbo Presbyterian Church on Saturday 7th February at 12 noon, with interment afterwards. The family welcome friends to pay respects at the family home on Thursday and Friday from 3pm to 7pm. Family flowers only, with donations in lieu to NI Chest, Heart & Stroke and NI Air Ambulance.
