The Barrie community is mourning the tragic loss of Victoria Michaela Hope Carrick, who passed away on the night of February 1st, 2026.
Known affectionately as Teta, Nanny Vic, and “mini me,” Victoria’s memory is cherished by her heartbroken parents, Simon Carrick and Sonja Stantic, her sisters Natallie West (Adam) and Sarah Forletta (Ryan), her baby brother Jensen Carrick, and her absolutely beloved nephews, Ricky and Rhemy Rever. Her fur babies, Mila and Gracie Lou, along with her predeceased pet Milo, will miss her loving snuggles.
Victoria was an absolute blessing to all who knew her. As a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, co-worker, and mentor, she left indelible marks of love, hope, and compassion everywhere she went. Her soft soul and fierce spirit touched countless lives in her community.
While she brought immense light to others, Victoria also faced profound personal darkness. Her family acknowledges the private struggle that culminated in her passing, remembering her resilience while wishing her peace. May she now find eternal brightness, reunited with her cherished Milo and her predeceased grandparents.
