The community mourns the loss of Matthew Alan Kolb of Farmington Hills, who passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 44.
Matthew is remembered as a beloved son of Debbie and David Kolb, and a dear brother to Michael (Marcy) Kolb. His role as a loving uncle to Ezra and Annabel brought him great joy. He was an adored nephew and grandson of the late Sylvia & Harold Weingart and Freda & Leon Kolb. Matthew is also survived by many loving cousins, extended family, and a world of devoted friends, a testament to the warmth and connections he fostered throughout his life.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6th, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the main chapel of The Dorfman Chapel . The service will be officiated by Rabbi Harold Loss . A live stream of the service will be broadcast at that time for those unable to attend in person. Interment will be private at Beth El Memorial Park Cemetery.
Following the service, friends are invited to gather at Temple Israel, 5725 Walnut Lake Rd., West Bloomfield, for a luncheon and shiva until 3:00 PM. The family will announce charitable contribution information at a later date.
